Engagement, to get a ring? or not?

These are some cookies I just did as a gift for a customer of mines :). I really love how it came out, and she did too (yay!).

When I got engaged, my husband was so nervous that he forgot the receipt inside the box that the ring was in…wether or not it was by mistake, if maybe he wanted me to see how much of his hard-earned money he had spent on me, I loved the ring. Not a huge rock, just a very simple solitaire ring…I loved it. Just to know that he had bought me something special like that, I was the happiest I could be.

Engagement rings could be very costly, but always try to get a good deal, and make sure it is worth your buck…Please, please make sure it is a genuine stone though, you don’t want to end up in the dog house lol. And try to choose something that your fiancée would love, since she is the one who will be wearing it 🙂 .

I don’t think it is necessary to have an engagement ring, I would rather just have my wedding band. I love it, I do, but I feel it’s more for show sometimes. You hear some women saying ” Oh it better be 2 carats”, or “He better spend more than five thousand on my ring”….I would rather save that money and go spend it in Atlantic City lol ( yes I’m a gambler).

On the other hand, I appreciate my husband for buying me my ring, because it is a reminder of the day he got down on one knee, crying his butt off, saying…well I don’t remember much of what he said, except asking me to marry him lol. I will never forget that day…And I hope one day, when I am no longer in this earth, that my daughter can carry my engagement ring as a reminder of me, and my son my wedding band 🙂

Love to all!!
