Painting on a cookie:

So for a few weeks, I have been seeing cookies hand painted by other cookie lovers. I was iffy about it, since there is so much going on in my agenda lately, but I really wanted to give it a try. So I did, and  it made me think back of high school, my art class…I love drawing and painting, and this is definitely something fun to do. I used regular gel coloring  and added a bit of lemon juice to it ( give it a bit of flavor)..and just did this:

This is something that I don’t plan to do all the time, but every now and then, for special occasions, or requested, I will.  I do want to try to do a cookie portrait of my kids, so that will be on my list of things to do :).  Art is a passion, wether drawing, decorating, baking, making anything…….it’s a passion. It makes me happy to do what I do, and It makes me happy when it put smiles on people’s faces 🙂

I have also started trying out new cookie recipes, and it has been fun lol….Learning and trying new things is great, life is about learning, and I have a lot more to learn 🙂

I made this cookie for my neighbors, they are expecting their second child. It’s funny because I have 2 monsters, and my other neighbors also have 2 kids too :). I wanted to make something different, and this was a good opportunity to try painting on a cookie, and on top of that, I am using a new lemon sugar recipe 🙂

Live, Learn, and Teach!
